Here's a sampling of some of the beautiful natural spaces that Eco Bloom has preserved, restored, created or reinvented over the years…

‘Casa Caracol’, South of Spain

From January until the end of March 2020, Glenn was commissioned to teach on a Permaculture, Soil and Eco Building course at Suryalila Yoga Retreat Centre near Seville in Spain. He spent 3 months there teaching 6 students how to learn to build their own home using predominantly natural building materials and recycled goods from the local area. The structure was made of Cob, also known as ‘natures cement’, which is a combination of sand, water, clay and straw. Students worked and trained alongside Glenn in a totally immersive experience giving them the technical, practical and philosophical intricacies of Eco building. ‘Caracol’ means snail in spanish, which is perfectly depicted by the shape of the home.

Casa Azul - ‘The recycled swimming pool!’

The first ever swimming pool turned into a 4 bedroom house! This project was Glenn’s first international Cob project and it was completed over two stages. The first stage (from October to December 2018), was the construction of the Cob walls, the interior structure and the setup work for a living roof. Glenn lead the project, with a few capable volunteers. Stage two (March to end of May 2020), was all the finishing touches and the completion of the gorgeous living roof.

‘The Pallet House’, Howth, Ireland

In 2018 Glenns’ close friend, Daragh asked him to redo and reinvent his home in Howth Village. Glenn used recycled pallets which he found and collected from all over the area, mainly from the fishing harbor. The finished project as you can see from the picture above is a thing of beauty. Simply reusing, sanding and varnishing the pallet wood , Glenn created a warm and cozy natural looking environment for his dear friend and the cost of the materials were next to nothing. This is a true example of the magic of Eco bloom

The Forge & Horse Box

It all begins with an idea! Maybe you want to convert an old Horse box into a simple summer vacation spot. Glenn was given creative freedom to turn an old rusty unused horse box into a space for vacationing in the Irish summer. He reused all the natural stone wall and constructed a beautiful dwelling out in County Slane , Ireland.

The Sunken Firepit…

It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.
