Casa Caracol

Nestled in between four, two hundred year old olive trees, this spiral shaped Cob home blossomed to life over the space of three months ……As part of a Permaculture and Eco - Buildng course designed and offered by the incredible Suryalila Retreat Centre , I proudly taught alongside six students from around the world and showed them hands on, how to build there very own cob home…the result was Casa Caracol ( the snail house )..We recycled over seventy percent of the materials including the stone for the stem wall , the wood for the roof and loft, the windows and doors, the tiles for the mosaics and much more…!! We used COB to build the walls and wine bottles for lighting effect and design…an affordable and creative solution for a beautiful home..
